When does the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond launch in Helldivers 2?
The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond has a confirmed launch date, so players do not have to guess from teaser timing.
The launch date
The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 is set to launch on October 20.
That is the key timing detail confirmed in the available announcements. The Warbond is built around long-range, stealth-oriented combat, with rifle-focused equipment and armor tied to the Stationary Shroud passive.
What arrives with it
The October 20 Warbond includes several pieces of new gear, including:
- R-40 Sightliner bolt-action sniper rifle
- P-44 Mist machine pistol
- AMW-20 Apex anti-material rifle
- LAS-44 Nova laser weapon
- G-11 Caltrops
- SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor
- SS-15 Focal Point medium armor
What to check before launch day
Because release timing can sometimes shift or vary by platform/store availability, it is worth checking the official announcement again close to October 20 if you are planning around the launch.
What weapons are included in the Scope of Authority Warbond?
The Scope of Authority Warbond is centered on ranged and stealth-leaning combat, and its weapon list reflects that focus.
The confirmed weapons
The Scope of Authority Warbond weapons confirmed in the available information are:
| Weapon | What is confirmed |
|---|---|
| R-40 Sightliner | A bolt-action sniper rifle built for precision, armor piercing, and high damage |
| P-44 Mist | A machine pistol |
| AMW-20 Apex | An anti-material rifle |
| LAS-44 Nova | A laser weapon |
The R-40 Sightliner is the most clearly described weapon in the current details, while the other three are named as part of the Warbond’s added weapon lineup.
Other combat gear included
The Warbond also adds G-11 Caltrops. These are described as tools that can hinder and damage enemies that step on them.
That fits the broader theme: the Scope of Authority Warbond is not only about rifles, but about controlling space and fighting from a more deliberate position.
Armor in the same Warbond
Two armor sets are also included:
- SS-33 Mimetic Marshal, a light armor set
- SS-15 Focal Point, a medium armor set
Both are tied to the Stationary Shroud passive.
For exact in-game behavior, check the official source when the Warbond goes live, since the current context confirms the names and broad descriptions rather than full stat details.
How does the R-40 Sightliner fit the Scope of Authority Warbond’s stealth and long-range theme?
The R-40 Sightliner is the clearest example of what the Scope of Authority Warbond is trying to emphasize: slower, more precise, long-range combat.
Why it fits the Warbond’s theme
The R-40 Sightliner is described as a bolt-action sniper rifle built for precision, armor piercing, and high damage.
That lines up directly with the Warbond’s long-range and stealth-oriented identity. Instead of being framed as a close-range spray weapon, the Sightliner is positioned as a rifle for careful shots and harder targets.
How to think about its role
Based on the confirmed description, the R-40 Sightliner appears to fit best as a deliberate rifle option:
- Precision suggests it is meant for accurate shots rather than volume of fire.
- Armor piercing points toward use against tougher enemies.
- High damage makes it sound suited for impactful single shots.
- The bolt-action label suggests a slower firing style than automatic weapons.
That does not confirm exact stats, handling, ammo count, or damage values. Those details are not included in the provided context.
How it compares with the rest of the Warbond
The Scope of Authority Warbond also includes the P-44 Mist machine pistol, AMW-20 Apex anti-material rifle, LAS-44 Nova laser weapon, G-11 Caltrops, and two armor sets tied to the Stationary Shroud passive.
So the R-40 Sightliner is not the only ranged tool in the set, but it is the one most clearly described as a precision sniper rifle.
Before deciding whether to prioritize it, check the final official details once the Warbond is available, especially if you care about exact weapon stats.
