![[luis díaz]: Luis Díaz Bayern Form: Disallowed Goal, Six-Game Drought and Eberl’s Support](https://trendingissue.blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/pexels-30666150.jpg)
Why was Luis Díaz’s potential goal against Augsburg disallowed?
Luis Díaz appeared to have scored for Bayern Munich against Augsburg, but the goal did not stand. The reason was not a foul by Díaz himself.
Why the goal was ruled out
The potential goal was disallowed because Josip Stanišić was judged to be offside in the buildup.
That means the issue came before Díaz’s finish. Even if the final shot was clean, the move was stopped because an earlier part of the attacking sequence involved an offside call.
What this means for Díaz
The disallowed goal does not count toward Díaz’s official scoring record. The sources say he has now gone six straight competitive games without a goal or assist.
Still, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl publicly backed Díaz and pointed to his movement and involvement as signs that his performances are improving.
What to watch next
Bayern were also preparing for a Champions League away match against Viking FK, so Díaz’s next chance to change the conversation may come soon. For the latest lineup or match decision, check Bayern’s official match information when it is released.
How many games has Luis Díaz gone without a goal or assist for Bayern?
Luis Díaz’s current Bayern run is being discussed because the numbers are simple: the sources say he has gone six straight competitive games without either a goal or an assist.
The confirmed streak
Díaz has gone six competitive Bayern matches without a goal contribution.
That includes no goal and no assist during that run. The context also notes that a possible goal against Augsburg was ruled out because Josip Stanišić was judged offside in the buildup.
Why the Augsburg moment matters
The Augsburg chance matters because it almost changed the streak, but it did not count officially. Bayern drew 2-2 with Augsburg, and Díaz’s potential goal was taken away due to the offside decision earlier in the move.
So the practical answer is: the drought remains at six competitive games, based on the provided sources.
What Bayern are saying
Max Eberl, Bayern’s board member for sport, backed Díaz publicly. He said he expects Díaz to improve and pointed to his movement and involvement as positive signs.
Because form updates can change from match to match, it is worth checking the latest Bayern match report after the next fixture.
What did Max Eberl say about Luis Díaz’s Bayern performances?
Max Eberl’s message on Luis Díaz was supportive, even with Díaz going through a quiet spell in front of goal.
What Eberl said
Eberl publicly backed Díaz and said he expects him to improve.
The sources say Eberl pointed to Díaz’s movement and involvement as reasons to think his performances are moving in a better direction. In other words, Bayern are not judging him only by the recent lack of goals and assists.
Why the comments matter
Díaz has gone six competitive games without a goal or assist, according to the sources. He also had a potential goal ruled out in Bayern’s 2-2 match with Augsburg because Josip Stanišić was judged offside in the buildup.
Eberl’s comments suggest Bayern are still seeing useful parts of Díaz’s play, even if the final numbers have not followed recently.
What comes next
The next useful check is whether Díaz turns that movement and involvement into a goal contribution. Bayern were preparing for a Champions League away match against Viking FK, but team selections and form notes can change quickly, so the latest club update is the place to confirm what happens next.
